Norwich has established itself as one of the best shopping destinations in Eastern England. you can chose from the modern shopping facilities in Castle Mall or the historic covered market, and enjoy the specialist shops on Elm Hill and in the Royal Arcade.

Both the Theatre Royal and Norwich Playhouse offer a wide range of plays, musicals, ballet, dance and music shows, and for the first two weeks of October, the city goes mad with the Norfolk and Norwich Festival. It then goes beer mad at the end of October as St Andrews Hall is filled with the annual Norwich Beer Festival.

Places to visit in Norwich include the beautiful Norman Cathedral, Norwich Castle, the Inspire Hands-on Science Centre and Colmans Mustard Shop. You can also take a trip on the River Wensum which cuts through the heart of the city centre or visit The Plantation Garden - A large Victorian garden and architectural experience in Norwich City centre.

Further afield you can enjoy boat trips on the Broads, a ride on the North Norfolk Railway, and visits to the National Trust's Blicking and Felbrigg Halls. Garden lovers will enjoy the wonderful Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden at South Walsham. Families can have fun at the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre or climb the tallest and most powerful wind turbine in the UK at Swaffham's EcoTech Centre.
